hello this is my frist time using a forum, so here goes i am a star wars collector and have set 80971 Slave I which comes with clone gear for boba fett can any one tell me what the bullet looking pieces are for?

I knew it by sight, but couldn't think what set it was in, so a search for simply 'curved 2x2' gave me this about halfway down the first page

Thanks for your reply Matthew, I had no idea what you meant by Mega***** and only today when I saw the Mega etc symbol on the actual peice did I get it, LOL!! Obviously thats a dirty word on this site, hehe! Do you know if they have a site like this one where I can get instructions on how to put this together? Thanks again!!

Has anyone seen one of these before?
I've only ever seen it a one that goes INTO a stud, rather than sits on top. Any idea what set it might be from if any? Couldn't see anything on bricklink.

I've just got a load of these but in red and white, they go on the castle stuff and the knights helmets i believe. Normally held by the small semicircle bricks (so don't know correct term)

6086-1: Black Knight's Castle has red ones over main gate and in helmets.

Are you sure it goes over a stud? I can't tell from the picture, but if it's the same size as the typical dragon plume, then it's too small to fit over a stud. Also, given that it looks green (which the dragon plume never came in), I'm guessing this is probably a modified LEGO element (painted, with the bottom chopped and possibly hollowed out).

There's a chance it's a prototype, or a knock-off Chinese brand, but I'm pretty sure it was never actually sold by LEGO.

I've got a batch of lego which looks like party of a grader/backhoe set, but there is a heavy 2 x 6 x 2 high black solid block with something magnetic inside, a dimple at each end, but no input/output options. Is it just ballast/counterweight? or is there some other function?

I got some of these in a train set i bought the other day i wondered what they were for until i downloaded the instructions. One went in the main train car i suppose to add weight.

Can somebody tell me about this item:

It's a Legoland Windsor medal, with a pirate on one side, and 'legoland windsor' on the other. I've never been there, so i'm not certain how I came to own it, and I know nothing about it at all.

(the pictures are not mine, i found them via a google search.)

OK. I found these in a lot of old stuff (classic space and some unidentifiable stuff). They are blue, 1 x 16 with a ridged track down the middle. I have two, and on one I have the part number of 1208 and the other 208 (why not the same?) and I was shocked that BrickLink had neither listed. Does anyone have any ideas? Which part number is correct if I try and add to Bricklink for my store? I am assuming I can add a part that does not exist to Bricklink. Any help is sincerely appreciated.

Unfortunately, I think that's not the Design ID (AKA "part number"). I think what you're seeing is probably the mold cavity number, and ... something else. The part you're looking at appears to be in BrickLink as 3228a, which could be pretty old. I'm not sure LEGO was in the habit of putting their Design IDs onto the elements back then.

Typically, the molds will have the Design ID of the part and/or the mold cavity number-- IE, the specific cavity of the mold from which they were injected, since each single mold can produce many parts at once. The other number I'm not sure about-- maybe the mold number, the batch number, facility number, or something else entirely.

Anyway, for the sake of BrickLink, I'm pretty sure you've got 3228a.

Emilewski.... welcome to the world of blue track era trains... 1966-79. Not much in the way of specialty parts back then (fewer than 300 different LEGO elements)... but it could still build a nice layout...

Anyone seen a samurai sword like this? I'm pretty sure it's not lego, but was bulked in with some other lego ebay stuff. The handle is a perfect fit.

@andhe, the sword is sort of similar to the ones I just got in ninjago set 30082 but the tip is more blunt than in that set. See part 30173

Found these in a super car-boot find -there were lots of construction vehicles easily identified by there Lego "numberplates" but I have lots of elements left and I'm sure the canopy at the top is from another construction vehicle.
Any ideas?

Item 3 of 3. It is an Octopus of some type the back of the head can attach to bricks, so I am not sure if this was a wall hanging in a set or not. There are three Octopus.

Sorry about the webcam quality picture, but I couldn't find my camera. I found these stickers in some boxes when clearing out. I'm 99% certain they're Lego. The sheet was bigger, but it has been cut down at some point. Any ideas what set they're for?
