I received mine yesterday (I live in Ireland)

I will be there also from wednesday to sunday inclusive. Budget didn't extend to the bella sky - I'll be with some exhibitors at the nearby danhostel.

Smyths in Ireland have the Elrond minifig in what appears to be all versions. It comes packaged with the boxes. No need to pre-order. Not sure about UK stores.

The list of this years sellers is available on the AFOLCON/Lego show websites if you look. I wouldn't describe the sellers as having 'stalls', more pop up shops as there's a lot more stock than you'd see in what I'd regard as a stall. There are more…

If you check out http://www.afolcon.com/AFOLCON/Home.html and http://www.thelegoshow.com/ I think some of your questions are addressed. Its in EventCity in Manchester which strikes me as more of an event location for large trade shows than a hotel t…

Have you tried www.bricklink.com . They have inventories for most sets and include the extra pieces you get.

It is interesting that as a thank you for a large Bricklink parts order from Poland I received some small bags of parts as a bonus. One of them had two gold helmets along with a reasonable amount of other bricks!

The Eiffel tower is fantastic as a decorative item as its tall and is relatively compact from a baseplate perspective - almost like a lampshade. The USC imperial star destroyer is also another eye-catcher although its not as easy to display without…

My favourite is the Boeing 787 set 10177. Not swooshible but great to look at.

It might have been easier to use some 48x48 transparent baseplates on their sides

This topic has arisen from time to time elsewhere and always brings a smile to my face. I think this answer originally posted a few years back sums it up nicely for me http://news.lugnet.com/storage/?n=707

I can confirm Brick.ie in Ireland is alive and as noted above we're on the ambassadors list.
