How do you sort? I tend to sort by color and then by plates, bricks and wedges... How do identify a set you want to keep for display vs ones that you part out for MOCs?
-
Matt, this is awesome. I was thinking of buying this set this weekend - can you list the areas you modded?
-
I'm a huge FLW fan. Read his bio a few years back. Interesting guy to say the least. I enjoyed falling water, but I cannot wait for this set. The Robie House is my fav by far.
-
How large would it be if it were truly minifig scale?
-
////// This post has been modified from its original version to fit in the alotted running time and for content \\\\\\\ -Yellowcastle

So you think it's worth it? I'd really like to try to find the truck itself and then kinda moc the rest.
-
Seriously, Lego is like crack.
-
That is very very cool.
-
The article said that NASA placed a few Mars minifigs on the rovers up there... anyone heard of that before?
-
There are a few of the vehicles I find cool, but not enough to justify $50 for a particular set.
-
http://www.collectspace.com/news/news-110410a.html So the first shuttle in the picture... is this an old set? Cool little shuttle.
-
Seriously? That is awesome! In terms of more important matters, which sets?

http://cgi.ebay.com/LEGO-AGENTS-2-0-ORIGINAL-CREATION-DISPLAY-CABINET-/380335075192?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item588dbcaf78 There are a few interesting ones on ebay right now... I think you'll pay a premium there and on BL though. I saw two …

http://www.bricklink.com/browseList.asp?itemType=G&catString=539 A few interesting ones here...

@dorking: One thing which surprises me is that people are still surprised by how rubbish TRU are. Personally I wouldn't go near them if you paid me, any deal they have is generally equalled or bettered online, and the more you shop there the more …

I saw a few on craigslist chicago about a month ago - one coast guard set - the boat and the copter I believe and a power miners one. They might still be up there. I've also seen them on bricklink, but they are pricey. I agree that they are cool …
-
Dr. Dave - have you built yet? I'm going to start tonight.
-
@talas - I really dig the 4645 and have a soft spot for anything with a nautical theme... got all the coast guard sets from 08 and the new light house the day it hit my TRU... I debated for a half hour, but felt that the 7066 would be a more enjoyab…
-
I sort of agree with crackseed... also, @brickmatic - I agree about the agents... at the same time, all those sets are fairly MOCable... here's what I did with the agents 4wd vehicle: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/226413

Just picked up the 7066 from my TRU... looks awesome. As I said initially, I'm more of a city guy, but this set is waaaaay too cool to pass up. The new harbor set - 4645 looks cool, but $90 for 500 elements seemed a bit too steep... that ship looks…
-
Thanks JW... perhaps I'll just stick with Dial.
-
I agree bluemoose... I'm thinking of treads for the 7066...
-
Good call mad for... I'm thinking Oxy Clean...
-
Debating on 7066 and 7067.... both have excellent moc potential... any advice?
-
Very true... I was planning on having the mill set off in it's own area though....
-
Is the 2006 cargo train a PF train?
-
@veedubguy83... great call on Ghostbusters!!! Would so love that! Perhaps if another movie comes out... Number 3 is supposed to be in the works... fingers crossed.
-
I'll definitely buy two - one for the light house and the other to build the boat launch...
-
Establishing a budget is a great idea. Problem is sticking to it. I struggle with this as well. I cringe to think of how much I have spent on BL and various purchases in the past year...
-
June here in the US, so we should see it next month? Not sure why, but I'm really digging this set. Will go perfect with my 08 coast guard sets.
-
@legocreator... Great call on the classic monsters sets!! I've been thinking the same with the vampire, wolfman, mummy, witch, etc minifigs.
-
Cathedral with minifigs would be sweet... I was let down by the new fishing boat. I thought it would be something like in the perfect storm or deadliest catch... that would be a cool set... An offroad unimog would be cool too. Or perhaps a defe…

I hear the Emerald Night is a major pain to motorize... The Maersk is sick cool.
